Job Description
the Database Migration Specialist Candidate is Responsible for Analyzing the Existing Architecture and Landscape of (oracle, Db2, Mssql, Mysql) Database and Migrate Them to Postgresql.

skills Required : Oracle & Sql

core Responsibilities Include:

• Analyzing the Method of Transforming Existing Data Into a Format for the New Environment and the Loading of this Data Into Postgresql Database. (data Cleansing, Data Mapping)

• Develop/enhance Database Pl/pgsql, T-sql and Pl/sqlscripts to Migrate from Source Database to Target Database

• Reviewing and Providing Recommendations for Improving Performance of the Migration Process.

• Providing Necessary Change and Support Documentation.

qualifications: (those Required to Do this Job Effectively):

education : B.e/b.tech Equivalent /master/master Equivalent No of Years: 8+ Years’ Experience in Database Development/migration Using Pl/pgsql (minimum of 3 Years of Postgresql Experience)

experience : Type of Work : Database Development, Data Migration, Data Cleansing, Data Mapping Areas of Work : Mssql, Db2, Mysql, Oracle, Postgresql, Pgsql Knowledge

necessary Knowledge :

• Develop/enhance Database Pl/sql Scripts to Migrate from Source Database to Target Database

• Identity Workarounds for Specific Issues and Corner Scenarios Observed During Migration

• Automate Solutions for Repeatable Problems

• Work Closely with Application Teams to Ensure Business Functionality and Performance Needs are Met.

• Knowledge of Database Architectures, Design Methods and Standards

• Experience with other Oltp Databases like Oracle, Postgresql, Db2, Mssql, Mysql Etc

• Scripting Language (bash, Perl, Python)

• Knowledge of Database Security Concepts and Controls, Data Encryption

• Develop Innovative Solutions to Complex Business and Technology Problems

• Knowledge of Cloud Concepts, Database-as-a-service, Platform-as-a-service

• Analyze On-premise Transactional Database Environment, Evaluate and Plan Migrations
